David MooreDavid Moore heads into his third year as the Saint Michael's men's and women's tennis head coach with the 2026-27 school year. An assistant coach with both programs in spring 2024, Moore previously served as men's tennis head coach at nearby University of Vermont and women's tennis assistant coach at the University of Houston.

In addition to carrying a breadth of experience with successful college programs, Moore was the long-time head tennis professional at Houston Country Club in Texas between 2007 and 2023, hiring, training and managing two dozen staff members, from fellow tennis pros to maintenance crew to pro shop employees. At Houston CC, Moore created and managed the budget while overseeing facility improvement projects.

As head coach of the UVM men's tennis program for four years, Moore guided the Catamounts to a pair of America East Conference semifinal appearances. Between 1996 and 2003, he assisted both the UVM men's and women's programs and the Houston women's squad. Houston's women won Conference USA in 1997-98, qualified for the NCAA Tournament, and were ranked among the top 50 Division I programs in the nation. In 1998-99, the Cougars sent singles and doubles qualifiers to the NCAA Tournament.

Moore is certified by the Women's Tennis Coaching Association (WTCA) and the Global Professional Tennis Coaches Association (GPTCA) (level C). He earned a bachelor's degree in child development in 1983 from the University of Central Oklahoma, where he played tennis on full athletic scholarship, before completing two advanced degrees at UVM: a master's in interdisciplinary studies (2001) and a doctorate in educational leadership and policy studies with a concentration in higher education (2005).
