COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College had 222 student-athletes qualify for the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the spring semester, including seven from the women's tennis team (class years from 2015-16 school year):
Seniors Erica Bundrick (Mattituck, N.Y./Mattituck) and Elizabeth Edwards (Islip, N.Y./Saint John the Baptist Diocesan); juniors Riley Kruger (Colchester, Vt./Colchester), Marissa Landry (Shelburne, Vt./Champlain Valley Union) and Colleen O'Keefe (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley); sophomore Amelia Weeks (Clinton, Wash./South Whidbey); and first-year Melissa Collins (Medford, Mass./Matignon).
Saint Michael's placed eighth among the league's 15 institutions in total honorees, while it was ninth by having 60 percent of its NE-10 student-athletes land on the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Student-athletes that earn a minimum 3.0 GPA during a given semester are eligible for the accolade. Eighteen of the Purple Knights' squads compete in the NE-10.
The men's ice hockey and men's lacrosse teams topped Saint Michael's with 21 honorees apiece, while women's cross country (19), women's soccer (18), baseball (16), field hockey (16) and women's lacrosse (16) narrowly trailed.
