Charlotte Stuart, a former Division I college soccer player and native of Essex Junction, returns for her second season as an assistant coach with the Saint Michael's women's soccer team in 2019.
Saint Michael's had a pair of 1-1 comeback ties in 2018, while a third deadlock was a scoreless draw on home turf against 11th-ranked Franklin Pierce University. Four contests went down as 1-0 setbacks during the fall.
While starting 53 of 73 career games at Iona College, Stuart tallied 16 goals and 11 assists, landing All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rookie Team honors as a first-year in 2014. Stuart ended her career second in program history in points (43) and tied for second in both goals and assists. She earned a MAAC All-Academic Team nod as a senior before graduating with a degree in marketing in 2018.
As a schoolgirl at Essex High School, Stuart notched 37 goals and 10 assists during her junior and senior seasons alone, leading the Hornets to Division I state crowns both years. She was twice named to the Burlington Free Press All-State first team and won four state championships as a member of the Far Post Soccer Club. Also an all-state lacrosse player, Stuart helped Essex to three indoor track & field state titles.
