COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College women's ice hockey senior Erin Dwyer (Weymouth, Mass./Archbishop Williams) earned a position on the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, Feb. 5. It was her second accolade in three weeks.
Dwyer scored three goals during an 0-2 weekend. In a 6-3 loss to Manhattanville College, which was receiving a national vote, on Friday, her goal 5:56 into the second period brought her team within 5-3. During a 3-2 loss to Salve Regina University on Saturday, Dwyer scored both of her team's goals, which came 6:02 apart in the second period and left the Purple Knights up 2-1 heading into the third period.
Ninety eight games into her college career, Dwyer is seventh in Saint Michael's history in points (52) and goals (29). She is also 10th with 22 assists. Dwyer leads the Purple Knights with seven goals and 10 points this year.
The Purple Knights, now 3-17 overall and 3-10 in the NEHC, hit the road for their final four regular-season contests. They first visit Plymouth State University on Friday at 6 p.m/
