COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College softball junior Danielle Markowski (Ellington, Conn./Ellington) was chosen for the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, April 14.
Markowski batted .500 with a 1.000 slugging percentage in a six-game week, finishing 9-for-16 with three runs, four RBIs, two doubles and two home runs. She was 2-for-2 with two doubles in game two with Saint Anselm College on Wednesday before picking up a hit in all four games at Stonehill College over the weekend. She was 2-for-3 with a run in game two on Saturday before going 2-for-3 with two runs, four RBIs and two homers in the opener on Sunday. Thanks to her second career multi-homer game, Markowski tied Kate Condon '11 for ninth in program history in career home runs (8).
Markowski has career highs in batting average (.297), slugging percentage (.486), on-base percentage (.333) and runs (7) this season, having already matched her career highs in hits (22) and doubles (5) while swatting three home runs and driving in 10. She is tied for 11th in the NE10 in homers.
The Purple Knights, whose 2-24 overall mark and 1-14 NE10 record includes 12 games decided by four runs or less, host Franklin Pierce University on Wednesday for a 3 p.m. doubleheader.
