COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College had 222 student-athletes qualify for the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the spring semester, including 11 from the softball team (class years from 2015-16 school year):
Seniors Judi Barcavage (Cold Spring, N.Y./Haldane), Jacqui Cronan (Danvers, Mass./Danvers), Danielle DelGreco (Lexington, Mass./Lexington) and Jenna Maksian (Shrewsbury, Mass./Shrewsbury); junior Danielle Barbato (Hillsdale, N.Y./Taconic Hills); sophomores Danielle Brown (Vergennes, Vt./Vergennes Union), Kaleigh Fallon (Mashpee, Mass./Sturgis Charter Public School) and Hannah St. Don (Lakeville, Mass./Sacred Heart); and first-years Anna Meusel (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxboro Regional), Fallon Tierney (Reading, Mass./Reading Memorial) and Payton Witalec (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa).
Meusel was among 13 Saint Michael's student-athletes to earn a 4.0 GPA.
Saint Michael's placed eighth among the league's 15 institutions in total honorees, while it was ninth by having 60 percent of its NE-10 student-athletes land on the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Student-athletes that earn a minimum 3.0 GPA during a given semester are eligible for the accolade. Eighteen of the Purple Knights' squads compete in the NE-10.
The men's ice hockey and men's lacrosse teams topped Saint Michael's with 21 honorees apiece, while women's cross country (19), women's soccer (18), baseball (16), field hockey (16) and women's lacrosse (16) narrowly trailed.
