COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College men's lacrosse sophomore Alec Sharlow (Watertown, N.Y./South Jefferson) earned a spot on the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, April 8. This is the first accolade of his career.
Sharlow posted five goals, one assist and six ground balls - with no turnovers - in two games last week. In a 9-8 loss at The College of Saint Rose on Wednesday, he notched a hat trick, an assist and four ground balls before totaling two goals and two ground balls in a 9-7 loss against Bentley University, which was receiving national votes, on Saturday. Sharlow's man-up marker with 13 seconds left accounted for the final score at Saint Rose. The attacker has recorded career highs in goals (12), assists (4), points (16) and ground balls (13) through 10 games. He leads the team in goals and points and is tied for fourth in assists.
The Purple Knights, who are 3-7 overall and 0-7 in the NE10, hit the road to play American International College on Friday at 4 p.m.
