COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College had 222 student-athletes qualify for the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the spring semester, including 21 from the men's lacrosse team (class years from 2015-16 school year):
Seniors Brian Devilly (Norwell, Mass./Norwell), Daegan Goodman (Montpelier, Vt./Montpelier) and Jamie McGill (Needham, Mass./Needham); juniors Tim Connor (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown), Colin Cronin (North Andover, Mass./North Andover), Tom Fitzgerald (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) and Taylor Wallace (Bedford, N.H./Bedford); sophomores Bobby Frank (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs), Neil Gallagher (Sudbury, Mass./Green Mountain Valley School), Matt Hanley (Plainview, N.Y./Bethpage), Dan Johnson (Ringwood, N.J./Don Bosco Prep), Brian Loughlin (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston), Spencer Ralston (Hebron, Conn./Cushing Academy), Patch Ryan (Holden, Mass./Saint John's) and Jake Sonberg (Bedford, N.H./Bishop Guertin); and first-years Matt Cotter (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxboro Regional), Conor DiNatale (Needham, Mass./Needham), PJ Johnson (Scituate, Mass./Groton School), David Malota (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick Valley), Connor McGuirk (Glens Falls, N.Y./Glens Falls) and James Modic (Pocasset, Mass./Bourne).
Saint Michael's placed eighth among the league's 15 institutions in total honorees, while it was ninth by having 60 percent of its NE-10 student-athletes land on the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Student-athletes that earn a minimum 3.0 GPA during a given semester are eligible for the accolade. Eighteen of the Purple Knights' squads compete in the NE-10.
The men's ice hockey and men's lacrosse teams topped Saint Michael's with 21 honorees apiece, while women's cross country (19), women's soccer (18), baseball (16), field hockey (16) and women's lacrosse (16) narrowly trailed.
