ENDICOTT, N.Y. - Three Saint Michael's College men's golfers broke 80 on day one of the two-day Northeast-10 Conference Championship on Sunday at En-Joie Golf Course, where the Purple Knights are tied for eighth after carding their fifth-best NE10 Championship round in program history.


  • Saint Michael's is tied for eighth of 10 schools with American International College with 311 shots, within four strokes of seventh-place Saint Anselm College.

  • This year's NE10 Championship is the fourth held at En-Joie Golf Course. The Purple Knights' 311 shots on Sunday were their fewest there in seven rounds during NE10 play, besting the 2015 team's second-round 319, and trimmed 18 strokes off of their prior first-round low (2012).
  • Sunday's round was the Purple Knights' 53rd 18-hole competition at an NE10 meet; the 311 strokes were the fifth-lowest in those 53 rounds, with three of the top five showings coming in the last two years alone.
