COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College field hockey sophomore goalkeeper Hannah Wilmot (West Townsend, Mass./Saint Bernard's Central Catholic) was chosen for the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, Oct. 14. It was Wilmot's first career award.
In her first college start, Wilmot held Adelphi University scoreless into overtime before allowing just one goal in 78:41 during a Saturday setback. She made a career-high 11 saves against a Panther squad that had netted five goals versus Stonehill College, the top-ranked team in the nation, during its previous game.
Since entering the Purple Knights' contest against Assumption College on Oct. 6 in an emergency capacity, Wilmot has helped Saint Michael's go to overtime in both of her outings, yielding only the marker at Adelphi across 132:12 of action, her first as a collegian. Wilmot has a .950 save percentage, averaging 9.5 stops per contest, while registering a 0.53 goals-against average.
Saint Michael's stands 1-8 overall and 1-4 in the NE10, but each setback has come by two goals or fewer, including four by a single tally. The Purple Knights conclude a three-game road swing at Franklin Pierce University today at 6 p.m.
