COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College had 230 student-athletes qualify for the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the fall semester, including 15 from the baseball team:
Senior Steven Auger (Hopkinton, N.H./Hopkinton); juniors Colin Brennan (Braintree, Mass./Boston College HS), PJ Jasak (Palmer, Mass./Wilbraham & Monson Academy/Le Moyne) and Patrick Martin (Wilton, N.H./Wilton-Lyndeborough Coop/Saint Joseph's [Maine]); sophomores Trevor Allen (Dennis, Mass./Dennis-Yarmouth Regional), Denis Cooney (Pittsfield, Mass./Pittsfield), Christian Devine (Exeter, N.H./Exeter), Matt Downing (Hanover, Mass./Archbishop Williams), Calvin Holland (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton), Cole Reilly (Milton, Vt./Milton), Joe Robertson (Essex Junction, Vt./Essex), Harry Southworth (Taunton, Mass./Coyle & Cassidy), Alex Sprague (Nottingham, N.H./Proctor Academy) and Sean Winthrop (Hopkinton, N.H./Hopkinton); and first-year Kevin Fox (Cogan Station, Pa./Montoursville Area).
Saint Michael's placed 11th among the league's 15 institutions in total honorees, but it was sixth by having 68 percent of its NE10 student-athletes land on the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Student-athletes that earn a minimum 3.0 GPA during a given semester are eligible for the accolade. Eighteen of the Purple Knights' squads compete in the NE10.
The men's lacrosse team topped Saint Michael's with 27 honorees apiece, while women's cross country (24), field hockey (23) and women's soccer (21) narrowly trailed.
