SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The Saint Michael's College baseball team (3-17-1) lost a pair of low-scoring games at Skidmore College on Saturday afternoon, falling in game one, 1-0, and the nightcap, 4-1.

Sophomore Austin Ziskie (Chevy Chase, Md./Bethesda Chevy Chase) took the hard-luck loss in the opener, striking out 10 and walking no one in a complete-game effort. He allowed just five hits, and the lone run in the bottom of the seventh inning on a one-out double, a stolen base, and a two-out game-winning single.

Saint Michael's was no-hit for the second time this season in the opener, as the Purple Knights managed just two base runners, both in the fifth inning, on an error and a walk.

In game two, Skidmore (15-5) scored two runs in both the fourth and sixth innings to pull past the Purple Knights and complete the sweep. Saint Michael's recorded five hits in the nightcap, with sophomore Chad Estey (New Haven, Vt./Mount Abraham Union) leading the way with a solo home run in the seventh inning and a double. Freshman Andrew Kelley (Woodsville, N.H./Lin-Wood) took the loss, allowing two earned runs in 5.2 innings pitched, while walking two and fanning four.

Saint Michael's returns to action on Tuesday with a 3:30 p.m. home contest versus in-state rival Middlebury College on Doc Jacobs Field.
