COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College men's and women's basketball teams will host their annual Think Pink event to benefit the American Cancer Society (ACS) on Wednesday when they host Assumption College in Ross Sports Center. All cancer survivors will be admitted for free to the contests that day.
The women play at 5:30 p.m. and the men at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, when fans in attendance are encouraged to wear pink in support of the fight against cancer. The Saint Michael's women will don pink socks, T-shirts and shoe laces to show their support, and the men will also utilize pink shoe laces.
Each team's goal is to raise money to help fund research, create awareness, fight back, and show support for all who are affected by cancer. Patrons who donate to the ACS at the game will receive a ribbon signifying their support, with all funds raised going directly to the ACS. For more information, or if you would like to show your support with a donation, please contact women's basketball head coach Shannon Kynoch at (802) 654-2503, or firstname.lastname@example.org. For survivors who plan to attend, please contact Kynoch to ensure your free admittance.
