2017 Women's Volleyball Outlook

COLCHESTER, Vt. - A squad that returns the vast majority of its offensive power meets eight 2016 NCAA Tournament qualifiers on an ambitious schedule this fall. Ten veterans comprise an experienced corps that welcomes four newcomers to the fold.

KEY DATES
Saint Michael's begins its season this weekend at the Gannon (Pa.) University/Mercyhurst (Pa.) University Invitational, taking on four teams - Gannon, Mercyhurst, the University of Findlay (Ohio) and Hillsdale (Mich.) College - that made a combined 23 NCAA Tournament appearances since 2004 ... the Purple Knights open their home slate versus Middlebury College on Sept. 19 and begin NE10 play three days later at Bentley University ... after playing four of five matches on the road, Saint Michael's finishes the regular season by hosting four of its final five matches ... between Oct. 21 and Nov. 10, four of the Purple Knights' five matches occur against 2016 NCAA Tournament qualifiers in Adelphi University, American International College, Le Moyne College and the University of New Haven. AIC advanced to the Elite 8 ... the top eight teams in the final standings qualify for the NE10 Championship, which begins on Nov. 14.
