Dalton earns second league accolade of spring, named to NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College women's tennis junior Alex Dalton (South Easton, Mass./Oliver Ames) was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, April 8. It was Dalton's second accolade this semester, being named Player of the Week on Feb. 27 after studying abroad in the fall.

Dalton won twice from the top positions in an 8-1 win over Saint Anselm College on Wednesday. In her first career try at playing No. 1 singles, Dalton notched a 7-6, 6-3 victory after pairing for an 8-1 doubles win. She is 5-1 in NE-10 singles play this spring and 9-2 overall thanks to a 4-1 doubles performance. At 37-16 during her career between singles and doubles, she is the only active Purple Knight to win at all six singles and all three doubles positions.

The Purple Knights have reached double figures in wins for the eighth straight season, and for the 13th time in 14 campaigns, standing 10-6 overall and 9-2 in the NE-10. Saint Michael's hosts Assumption College today while looking to get closer to nailing down a top-four seeding for the upcoming league tournament.
