Four From Women's Tennis Earn NE-10 All-Conference Third Team Honors

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Four from the Saint Michael's College women's tennis team were named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference Third Team, it was announced on Sunday.

Junior Lindsay Horne (Scituate, Mass./Scituate) was named at #1 singles, while sophomore Deahna Giguere (Oakland, Maine/Messalonskee) received recognition at #2 singles. Also, Sophomores Marran Ranks (Stratham, N.H./Exeter) and Marybeth Ash (Westborough, Mass./Westborough) were honored at #2 doubles.

Also on Sunday, Horne and Giguere were named to the NE-10 Women's Tennis All-Championship Team, as they helped lead the Purple Knights to the NE-10 Semifinals.

Horne went 7-1 at #1 singles during the NE-10 regular season. She currently is 12-2 overall this year, including 11-2 at #1 singles.

Giguere also went 7-1 at #2 singles during the conference regular season. Giguere currently is 8-5 at singles this season.

Ranks and Ash went 6-1 at #2 doubles during the league regular season. The duo are 8-1 overall at #2 doubles this season.
