COLCHESTER, Vt. - The second-seeded Saint Michael's College women's tennis team (15-5) set a program record for victories in a season, and advanced to the Northeast-10 Conference Championship, with a 5-4 Semifinal victory versus sixth-seeded Southern New Hampshire University on Friday on the outdoor courts.
With the win, the Purple Knights will now take on top-seeded Bryant University for the NE-10 Championship on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Stonehill College. SNHU finishes its season 8-6.
Freshman Deahna Giguere (Oakland, Maine/Messalonskee) earned victories in both #2 singles and #2 doubles to lead the Purple Knights on Friday.
