COLCHESTER, Vt. - Three Saint Michael's College women's soccer seniors were selected to play in the 2008 New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Senior Bowl, it was announced on Thursday. Fullback Kelley Boyden (Jericho, Vt./Mount Mansfield Union), midfielder Sky Bryan (North Yarmouth, Maine/Greely) and forward Kelley Ruch (Woodstock, Vt./Woodstock Union) were selected for the game, to be played on December 7 at 11 a.m. at Salem (Mass.) State College.

Boyden was named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference Second Team last month. She tallied a goal on the season, and played 1,659 of the team's 1,675 minutes this season. She appeared in 58 career contests for the Purple Knights, scoring three goals and four assists.

Bryan, like Boyden an NE-10 All-Conference Second Team pick who started every game this season, had two goals this fall, including a penalty kick score. She played in 70 career contests for Saint Michael's, recording five goals and eight assists.

Ruch played in all but one game this fall, tallying a goal and an assist. Her goal was the game-winning score in her final game for Saint Michael's versus Bentley University on October 28. In 68 career contests for the Purple Knights, Ruch recorded 17 goals and six assists for 40 points.

The Senior Bowl contest is free to attend, although fans are encouraged to bring canned goods and other non-perishable food items to the game, which will be donated to an area shelter to help feed families during the holiday season. The food drive is organized by Salem State women's soccer coach Nicolle Wood, and Salem's Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
