Men's and Women's Soccer Receive 2009 NSCAA Team Academic Award

(Jan 13, 2010) COLCHESTER, Vt. – The Purple Knight men’s and women’s soccer teams were recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) on Wednesday as recipients of the 2009 Team Academic Award for posting a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher in the 2008-09 academic year. The women’s soccer team, under head coach Marcel Choquette, posted a team GPA of 3.21, earning them the award for the third time in four years. Baxter Named To The NEWISA Division II All-New England Second Team

(Dec 9, 2009) COLCHESTER, Vt. – The New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association named the lone Purple Knights' women’s soccer senior, Alicia Baxter (Waltham, Mass./Waltham), to the Division II All-New England Team, it was announced on Wednesday. Baxter led a young Purple Knights' team through their rigorous Northeast-10 Conference schedule. Baxter went on to start all 18 games as a defensemen her senior year, even recording the lone goal for the Purple Knights against league-rival Merrimack College on Oct. 20. [more]
