COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College women's lacrosse senior Alex Vincent (Rush, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy School for Young Women) was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, March 31. This is Vincent's second NE10 Weekly Honor Roll nod of the season and the sixth of her career.
Vincent turned in six goals, five assists, three ground balls and two caused turnovers during a 1-1 week. In a 16-6 loss at No. 18 Merrimack College on Wednesday, she had two goals and an assist while adding a ground ball and a draw control. During a 19-5 win at Queens (N.Y.) College on Saturday, Vincent recorded four goals, a career-high four assists, two ground balls and two caused turnovers. She scored 50 seconds into the game to put the Purple Knights up for good and totaled half of her points in the opening 5:40.
Vincent sports a team-leading 28 points on 17 goals and a career-high-tying 11 assists, which is tied for 13th in the NE10, in seven games this season. For her career, Vincent now has 127 points, which is tied with Kristen Palazzo '06 for 11th in program history. She also now sits in 10th in Purple Knight history in career goals with 95 after passing Clare Cavanaugh '88 (93) on Saturday.
The Purple Knights, who are 2-5 overall and 0-5 in the NE10, go on the road to take on No. 16 Bentley University this afternoon at 3 p.m. The Falcons are ranked 16th in this week's US Lacrosse Magazine national poll.
