COLCHESTER, Vt. - Recent Saint Michael's College graduate Elizabeth Siekman (Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire) has been selected to play in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II North-South Game, it was announced earlier this week.
The 2011 North-South games will take place at the Champions' Cup, held at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa., on June 11. The event will precede the IWLCA All-American banquet, which will take place at the Crown Plaza Valley Forge in King of Prussia, Pa., later that evening.
In all, 109 senior student-athletes across all three NCAA divisions were named to one of the North-South rosters. Siekman was one of just eight players from the Northeast-10 Conference selected.
A midfielder, Siekman started all 16 games for Saint Michael's in 2011, and finished third on the team with 14 goals and 15 points. She was second on the squad with 36 ground balls, 25 faceoff victories and 19 draw controls, and ended her collegiate career with goals in three straight games. She finished her four-year career with 36 goals, six assists and 42 points in 50 collegiate contests.
