WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Saint Michael's College (2-1) won its second game in as many days on Wednesday with a 15-6 women's lacrosse victory versus Presbyterian College.
For the Purple Knights, senior Kristen Palazzo (Armonk, N.Y./Byrham Hills) and sophomore Amanda Soule (Hartland, Vt./Woodstock Union) tallied four goals apiece, while junior Megan Lagasse (Newburyport, Mass./Governor Dummer Academy), classmate Megan Rule (Bow, N.H./Bow) and sophomore Brynne Curran (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) each scored twice. Freshman Ava Gottschall (Amherst, Mass./Amherst) completed the scoring for Saint Michael's, and sophomore Courtney Wakem (Tiverton, R.I./Tiverton) recorded four saves to earn the victory.
Saint Michael's returns to action on Tuesday, as the Purple Knights play their first women's lacrosse game on the College's brand-new Christopher Duffy Artificial Turf Field when they host Northeast-10 Conference rival Merrimack College at 4 p.m.
