Santore Named To ECAC East Women's Hockey Honor Roll

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Women's hockey junior Madelena Santore (Millington, N.J./New Jersey Rockets/Rutgers Univ.) was named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference East Weekly Honor Roll, it was announced on Monday. Santore tallied an assist in a 6-2 loss at Salve Regina on Friday, placing her among the league leaders in scoring.

Santore has a team-leading nine goals this season, giving her nearly a third of the Purple Knights' goals this season. The junior forward is tied for fifth in the ECAC East in goals scored, and is one goal away from becoming just the sixth player in Saint Michael's program history to net 10 goals in a season. Santore has scored in eight of 15 games so far, and has netted the game-winning goal in both of the team's wins this season.

Santore and the Purple Knights return home on Friday to host nationally-ranked Norwich at 7 p.m.
