Women's Ice Hockey Gets Shutout By Holy Cross Crusaders, 3-0

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Purple Knight women (3-18-1, 1-16-1 ECAC East) lost a 3-0 battle to the Crusaders of Holy Cross (17-3-1, 14-1-1 ECAC East) on Sunday afternoon at the Hart Recreation Center.
Saint Michael's was able to keep the Crusaders scoreless in the third period, but a first period goal and two points in the second frame were the decision makers of the game. The Purple Knights recorded 18 shots on goal, but were unsuccessful in their attempts to find the back of the net. Freshman netminder Erin Stevens (Watertown, Conn./Connecticut Polar Bears) made 28 saves in net.
The Purple Knights have one game left on their regular season schedule and will be celebrating their "Senior Day" on Saturday at 6 p.m. following the men's ice hockey game against Castleton State College at Cairns Arena.
