COLCHESTER, Vt. - Women's ice hockey freshman Chrissy Skrzat (Lansdale, Pa./Boston Shamrocks) was named to the ECAC East weekly honor roll, the league announced on Monday.
Skrzat made her first collegiate appearance as a Purple Knight on Saturday against Salve Regina. It didn't take long for Skrzat to adapt to the college level of play, as she soon had tallied two goals and an assist, forcing the ECAC's #4 Seahawks into overtime. The Purple Knights were unable to hold on to the Seahawks in overtime, as extra time was cut short by Salve Regina's game-winning fifth goal. Skrzat certainly didn't hesitate to prove herself on the ice, as the Purple Knights are among three teams, including #1 Norwich and #2 Holy Cross, to net four or more goals against the Seahawks this season.
The women's ice hockey team will travel to in-state-rival Norwich University on Friday for a 7 p.m. faceoff.
