WORCESTER, Mass. - The Saint Michael's College women's ice hockey team (6-17-3) suffered a 5-1 loss at top-seeded College of the Holy Cross (23-2-1) in the semifinals of the ECAC Women's Open Tournament on Saturday evening at the Hart Center.

With the loss, Saint Michael's will take on Saint Anselm College in Sunday's 1 p.m. consolation game at the Hart Center. Saint Anselm lost to Sacred Heart University, 6-3, in Saturday's first semifinal contest, and Sacred Heart will meet Holy Cross in Sunday's 4 p.m. championship contest.

For Holy Cross, sophomore Jocelyn Kratchmer (Watrous, Saskatchewan) scored a pair of goals, while senior Stephanie Couzin (Chicago, Ill.) added a goal and two assists. Sophomore Lindsay Atkinson (Westbank, British Columbia) stopped 15 shots for the win in net.

For Saint Michael's, sophomore Emily Paquin (Bowie, Md./Washington Pride) scored her fourth goal of the season - all on the power play - and was assisted by senior Jess Tourville (Baltimore, Vt./Springfield). The assist was Tourville's 50th career points, just the sixth player in program history to reach that milestone. Sophomore Alysia Goldman (Ballston Lake, N.Y./Hebron Academy) turned aside 28 shots in the loss.
