Women's Ice Hockey Gets Shutout By Holy Cross Crusaders, 3-0

(Feb 7, 2010) WORCESTER, Mass. - The Purple Knight women (3-18-1, 1-16-1 ECAC East) lost a three-goal battle to the Crusaders of Holy Cross (17-3-1, 14-1-1 ECAC East) on Sunday afternoon at the Hart Recreation Center. Freshman netminder Erin Stevens stopped 28 shots on goal for the Purple Knights. Saint Michael's has one game left on their regular season schedule and will be celebrating their "Senior Day" on Saturday at 6 p.m., following the men's ice hockey game against Castleton State College at Cairns Arena. Purple Knight Women Face 3-1 Setback At Holy Cross

(Feb 6, 2010) WORCESTER, Mass. – Saint Michael’s women’s ice hockey (3-17-1, 1-15-1 ECAC East) faced their sixth straight loss, having been defeated 3-1 by the Holy Cross Crusaders (16-3-1, 13-1-1) on Saturday at the Hart Center. Freshman Allison Graf netted the first puck of the afternoon on a power play midway through the opening frame, assisted by junior Kelly Rose Losi and senior Sarah Landis. Junior Alysia Goldman stopped 33 shots on goal in the contest. Saint Michael’s will have a rematch with the Crusaders at 2 p.m. this Sunday. [more]
