Women's Ice Hockey Ends Season With 3-3 Tie Versus Sacred Heart

(Feb 28, 2010) WORCESTER, Mass. – The Saint Michael’s College women’s ice hockey team (3-20-2) ended its season on Sunday with a 4-3 shootout loss versus Sacred Heart University in the Consolation Game of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Women’s Open Tournament at the College of the Holy Cross’s Hart Center. The game officially is listed as a 3-3 tie, with Sacred Heart winning the shootout in seven rounds, 3-2. For Saint Michael's, junior Alysia Goldman (Ballston Lake, N.Y./Hebron Academy) turned aside 41 shots in the regulation and overtime periods. [more]

Women's Ice Hockey Falls At Holy Cross, 5-2, In ECAC Women's Open

(Feb 27, 2010) WORCESTER, Mass. – The Saint Michael’s College women’s ice hockey team fell behind early in suffering a 5-2 loss at the College of the Holy Cross in the semifinals of the ECAC Women’s Open Tournament at the Hart Center. For Saint Michael’s, sophomore Emily Elliott (Casper, Wyo./Colorado Selects) scored her first collegiate goal, an unassisted tally. Fourth-seeded Saint Michael’s will play its final game of the season on Sunday at 1 p.m., against the loser of today's Saint Anselm College-Sacred Heart University semifinal contest in the Consolation Game.
