Saint Michael's Announces 2008-09 Basketball Schedules

(Jul 18, 2008) COLCHESTER, Vt. – The Saint Michael’s College men’s and women’s basketball teams announced their 2008-09 schedules today, with both squads slated to play 26 regular-season games, including 22 Northeast-10 Conference contests. The Purple Knight men open their regular season Nov. 15-16, as Saint Michael’s hosts its annual DoubleTree Doc Jacobs Classic at the Ross Sports Center. The Purple Knight women, guided by sixth-year head coach Jen Niebling and 13-15 in 2007-08, also open their regular season at home, as Saint Michael’s hosts non-conference rival Queens (N.Y.) Basketball Squads Garner NE-10 Winter Sportsmanship Awards

(Apr 9, 2008) COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College men's and women's basketball teams were named the 2007-08 Sportsmanship Award recipients by the Northeast-10 Conference, it was announced on Wednesday. The awards program honors one team from each of the NE-10's 23 championship sports that has exemplified the spirit of sportsmanship and generally conducted themselves with a higher degree of integrity, character and class.
