Adach lauded for fifth time, caps junior year with NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll nod

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College women's basketball junior Nicole Adach (Schenectady, N.Y./Mohonasen) capped the 2011-12 season by landing on the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the fifth time this winter, being recognized for the week ending on Sunday, Feb. 26.

Adach turned in 14.5 points on 56.5 percent shooting (13-for-23) and 6.0 rebounds during a 1-1 week. She had 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting in addition to five boards and two blocks in the Purple Knights' must-win, 72-60 victory over Southern New Hampshire University on Tuesday that helped her team qualify for the postseason. On Friday, Adach recorded 11 points, seven boards and two assists for 10th-seeded Saint Michael's during a 51-49 loss to the No. 7 College of Saint Rose in the first round of the NE-10 Tournament.

Adach led the Purple Knights in scoring (13.6), rebounding (6.9) and field goal shooting (47.4) this year, and her team-best 101 free throws place her eighth in the NE-10. She had a career best in scoring, shooting and free throws, as well as in blocks (18) and assists (32). The 5-foot-11 forward enters her final season with career totals of 653 points and 403 rebounds after scoring in double figures 23 times in 27 games this winter.

The Purple Knights, who set a school record by holding 18 opponents to 60 points or fewer, finished the year 12-15 overall, as well as 9-13 in the NE-10.
