COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College women's basketball
senior Logan Pintka (Schenectady, N.Y./Colonie
Central) was named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference
Third Team, it was announced by the conference office on Friday
afternoon.
Pintka is currently 13th in the NE-10 in scoring at 13.5 points per game, ninth with a .795 free throw percentage, and 12th with 0.84 blocks per game. Pintka is third in the conference in made free throws with 128, just six shy of tying the single-season program record of 134 set by Amy Molina '93 in 1992-93.
The six-foot forward became the 17th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point plateau last month, and is currently 11th in program history with 1,155 career points. She is also adding 5.3 rebounds per contest, and has started all 25 games this season.
Pintka is the first Purple Knight to receive All-Conference recognition since she was named to the All-Rookie Team in 2007-08. Prior to that, Dani Rayner '07 earned Second Team honors as a junior in 2005-06.
Pintka leads Saint Michael's (15-10, 13-9 NE-10) into the NE-10 Tournament, as the seventh-seeded Purple Knights open postseason play with a First Round contest versus 10th-seeded University of Massachusetts Lowell on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Ross Sports Center.
