COLCHESTER, Vt. – Saint Michael's College women's basketball sophomore Nicole Adach (Schenectady, N.Y./Mohonasen) was named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday. Senior Logan Pintka (Schenectady, N.Y./Colonie Central), the Purple Knights' newest 1,000-point scorer, complimented her fellow forward's accolades with honor roll recognition.
Adach dominated the opposition last week, posting back-to-back double-doubles while averaging 16 points and 10 rebounds per game. The sophomore forward has a team-best five double-doubles this season, and deposited a career-high 21 points in an overtime win at Pace on Saturday. Adach currently ranks eighth in the NE-10 in rebounding and leads the Purple Knights with eight boards per game.

Pintka, the 17th 1,000-point scorer in program history, reached the milestone against Pace on Saturday, a game in which she hit a running three-point shot at the buzzer to force overtime. Pintka then scored eight points in the extra period, including point 1,000, to lift Saint Michael's to victory. The senior captain averaged 17 points per game while shooting 50 percent from the field and 88 percent from the foul line over the past two games.
Saint Michael's, over .500 for the first time since Dec. 4 thanks to the outstanding play of Adach and Pintka, head to New Haven on Wednesday for a conference showdown at 5:30 p.m.
