MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Saint Michael's College women's basketball team (13-12, 10-11 Northeast-10 Conference) moved back over the .500 mark on the season with a 63-56 win at Saint Anselm College on Saturday afternoon.

Despite the win, Saint Michael's is assured of being on the road for the First Round of the NE-10 Tournament, as a win by the College of Saint Rose on Saturday eliminated Saint Michael's from hosting a postseason contest.

Junior Alexis Keller (Harrington Park, N.J./Old Tappan) led a balanced Purple Knights' scoring attack with 12 points. Classmate Michelle Otey (Southborough, Mass./Algonquin Regional) added 11 points and eight rebounds, while freshman Caitlin Quinn (Oakdale, Conn./Montville) chipped in with 10 points and two steals off the bench. Sophomore Logan Pintka (Niskayuna, N.Y./Colonie Central) notched nine points and eight rebounds as Saint Michael's held Saint Anselm to just 35 percent shooting from the field.

For Saint Anselm (4-22, 2-19 NE-10), freshman Megan Howard had a game-high 18 points and 13 rebounds. Courtney May also recorded a double-double for the Hawks with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Saint Michael's led early, 22-9, and maintained a 35-27 lead at halftime. Saint Anselm rallied to tie the score at 48-all midway through the second half, but the Purple Knights clamped down defensively from there, allowing just eight points in the final 10:45 of the game.

Saint Michael's closes out the regular season on Monday, as the Purple Knights play their final home game of the season versus Pace University at 5:30 p.m. at the Ross Sports Center.
