Women's Basketball To Host Two Scrimmages This Week
COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College women's basketball team will host a pair of scrimmages this week at the Ross Sports Center, fifth-year head coach Jen Niebling announced on Monday.
The Purple Knights will take on in-state rival Norwich University on Tuesday, and play Bishop's University out of Sherbrooke, Quebec on Friday, with both games starting at 5 p.m. at the Ross Sports Center.
There is no admission for either contest, although fans are strongly encouraged to either make a $1 donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or bring in a canned food item for the Chittenden County Emergency Food Shelf.
Saint Michael's opens the 2007-08 regular season on Saturday, November 17, as the Purple Knights host Saint Thomas Aquinas College at 7 p.m. in the DoubleTree Tip Off Classic.
