COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College women's swimming & diving team returns 13 competitors from a squad that had one of its best Northeast-10 Conference Championship finishes ever last winter, having also continued a historic run of dual-meet success last realized in the early 2000s.

Two of top three in individual wins return, and two of top three in overall victories are back ... won mid-season North Country Invitational for second time in three seasons ... won at least five dual meets for third straight season, longest run since 2000-01 to 2002-03 ... finished seventh at the NE10 Championship for the third straight season ... 266 points at the league meet were Purple Knights' most since 2008-09, and most at an NE10 Championship during which at least eight programs competed ... Saint Michael's opens the season against Colby-Sawyer College, Franklin Pierce University and Keene State College on Saturday before resting for two weeks ... after three dual meets take place between Nov. 4 and 11, the semester-ending North Country Invitational at the State University of New York at Potsdam is Nov. 17-18 ... upon returning from Winter Break, the Purple Knights compete in five January dual meets in 13 days before the four-day NE10 Championship kicks off on Feb. 8 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute ... qualifiers for the NCAA Championship head to Greensboro, N.C., from March 14 to 17.
