Saint Michael's swimmers Marshall and Nadow earn spots on NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College swimming & diving senior Andrew Marshall (Kittery, Maine/Saint Thomas Aquinas/Saint Joseph's [Maine]) and sophomore Steph Nadow (Charlton, Mass./Saint Peter-Marian) were named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, Nov. 11.

Marshall won twice on Saturday in a dual-meet loss against Clarkson University. In an atypical 25-meter pool, Marshall won the 800-meter freestyle at 9:30.50 and the 400 free at 4:33.24, beating the runner-up in the 400 by 0.24 seconds after overcoming a 2.08-second deficit heading into the final 50 meters. He won the 800 by 15.4 seconds. Marshall also swam for the fourth-place 400 free relay that clocked in at 4:05.67, completing the competition's third-fastest No. 3 leg with a time of 1:00.55. After three meets this winter, Marshall has seven total victories to lead the men's team.

Nadow won three events in a 112-103 victory at Clarkson. Nadow topped the 100-meter backstroke in 1:16.00 while leading off for the winning 400-meter medley relay that finished at 5:07.25. Nadow also swam a leg for the fastest 400 free relay that clocked in at 4:30.95. Nadow has compiled 10 wins through three meets this season, tying her for first among Purple Knights.

The Purple Knight men are 1-2 this season while the women are 3-0. The squads wrap up the 2012 portion of their schedule at the State University of New York at Potsdam Invitational this weekend.
