Swimming & Diving Drops Dual Meet At Saint Rose

ALBANY, N.Y. - The Saint Michael's College men's and women's swimming and diving teams dropped a Northeast-10 Conference meet at the College of Saint Rose on Saturday, with the women fall, 128-108, and the men losing, 126-107.

Freshman Dustin Bell (Sun Valley, Calif./La Canada) had a strong day for the Purple Knight men, winning both the 500 and 1,000-yard freestyle. Senior Jake Stamas (Andover, Mass./Andover) also posted a win, earning a narrow victory in the second one-meter diving competition.

For the women, freshman Jade Lubeck (Salt Lake City, Utah/Judge Memorial) won both one-meter diving competitions, while classmate Katie Cox (South Hadley, Mass./Holyoke Catholic) notched a victory in the 500-yard freestyle. Senior Elizabeth Tuxbury (New Hartford, Conn./Northwestern Regional) also earned a win, in the 100-yard breaststroke.

In team action, both the Saint Michael's men and women earned wins in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

Saint Michael's returns to action on Wednesday with a 4 p.m. home meet versus Clarkson University at the Ross Sports Center Pool.
