Eight Program Records Set As Men's Swimming & Diving Finishes Fifth At NEISDA Championships

BRISTOL, R.I. - Eight program records were set over the weekend as the Saint Michael's College men's swimming and diving team finished in fifth place out of 13 schools on Sunday at the season-ending New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Championships, hosted by Roger Williams University.

Freshman Tim McGrath (Hyannis, Mass./Barnstable) set individual records by placing second in the 50-yard butterfly (24.28) and third in the 100-yard individual medley (55.34). Classmate Dan Healy (South Burlington, Vt./South Burlington) also set a record by finishing third in the 200-yard backstroke (2:00.42). The duo helped the Purple Knights set three relay records as well, as Saint Michael's placed third in the 400-yard medley relay (3:43.72), fifth in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:29.66), and sixth in the 200-yard medley relay (1:41.23).

Also setting program records were sophomore Aidan Warhall (New Haven, Conn./Notre Dame) in the 200-yard individual medley (2:06.23 preliminary time), and freshman Allen Hubbard (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:18.18 preliminary time).

The Purple Knights finished the meet with 271 points, 20 better than sixth-place University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and 25 points behind fourth-place Norwich University.
