Skiing Sits In 10th Place Halfway Through Dartmouth Winter Carnival

LYME CENTER, N.H. and STOWE, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College ski team sits in 10th place on Friday after day one of the two-day Dartmouth College Winter Carnival, held at Dartmouth Skiway and Trapp Family Lodge.

Senior Brad Harden (McConnellsville, N.Y./Northwood School) had the best showing of the season for the Purple Knights, finishing seventh in the men's slalom, and just a tenth of a second out of a top-five finish. He earned 36 NCAA points with the top-10 finish.

Freshman Gabbi Hall (Truckee, Calif./Forest Charter School) had the best showing for the Saint Michael's women, placing 29th in the slalom.

In Nordic action, senior Lauren Fereshetian (Turner, Maine/Leavitt Area) placed 46th in the women's 15-kilometer classic mass start, while freshman Colin Delaney (Lake Placid, N.Y./National Sports Academy) finished 47th in the men's 20-kilometer classic mass start.

The two-day Carnival concludes on Saturday.
