Skiing Remains In 10th After Day Two Of UVM Carnival

STOWE, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College skiing team remains in 10th place on Saturday after day two of the three-day University of Vermont Carnival.

Senior Brad Harden (McConnellsville, N.Y./Northwood School) completed a strong weekend with a 15th-place slalom finish in alpine action that concluded at Stowe Mountain Resort. Junior April Hawman (Clifton Springs, N.Y./Killington Mountain School) led the Saint Michael's alpine women with a 29th-place finish in the slalom.

In Nordic action that took place at Trapp Family Lodge, freshman Colin Delaney (Lake Placid, N.Y./National Sports Academy) led the Saint Michael's men with a 26th-place finish in the 10-kilometer classic. In the women's five-kilometer classic, senior Lauren Fereshetian (Turner, Maine/Leavitt Area) led the Purple Knights with a 66th-place finish.

The Carnival concludes on Sunday with Nordic freestyle action beginning at 10:30 a.m.
