Skiing In 10th Place After Day One Of UVM Winter Carnival

STOWE, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College alpine ski team placed 10th on Friday on day one of the three-day University of Vermont Winter Carnival at Stowe Mountain Resort.
Senior Brad Harden (McConnellsville, N.Y./Northwood School) led the Purple Knights on Friday with a 19th-place finish in the men's giant slalom. The other five Saint Michael's men's alpine skiers placed 40th-44th.
On the women's side, freshman Gabbi Hall (Truckee, Calif./Forest Charter School) led the Purple Knights with a 25th-place giant slalom finish.
The carnival resumes on Saturday, as the Nordic competition begins at Trapp Family Lodge at 10:30 a.m., and the alpine events conclude with slalom action starting at 9:30 a.m.
