Greer Lemnah

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College softball freshman Greer Lemnah (Lyndon Center, Vt./Lyndon Institute) completed a successful first season by earning Northeast-10 All-Conference Third Team honors, it was announced on Thursday. Lemnah was recognized in the "utility-non-pitcher" category, as the versatile first-year started at six different positions for the Purple Knights in 2011.

Lemnah started all 38 games for the Purple Knights this spring, and finished second on the squad in base hits and walks. Batting primarily from the leadoff spot, Lemnah started 17 games in left field, 14 games as the designated player, three games at third base, two games at catcher, and one game each at second base and center field.

She had a five-game hitting streak - the team's longest of the season - from April 10-14, and began her career with hits in six of her first seven games.

Saint Michael's (6-32, 4-24 Northeast-10 Conference) completed its season on Sunday.
