Softball Announces Tryout Dates, Fall Schedule


COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College softball coach Robyn Newton has announced the dates and times for tryouts for the 2009-2010 season, as well as the Purple Knights' 2009 fall schedule.

On Monday, August 31, the team will conduct an informational meeting in the Tarrant Recreation Center's Hall of Fame Room beginning at 6:30 p.m. The next two days (Tuesday, September 1 and Wednesday, September 2), Newton and the coaching staff will hold open tryouts from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Doc Jacobs Field.

The Purple Knights' fall schedule begins on Saturday, September 12, as the squad hosts its annual Alumni Game beginning at 2 p.m.
