Softball's Billings Named To ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District Second Team


COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College softball junior Katelyn Billings (Saint Albans, Vt./Bellows Free Academy-Saint Albans) was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Second Team, it was announced on Thursday. The award is voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Billings, a double major in chemistry and mathematics with a 3.93 cumulative Grade Point Average, earned Northeast-10 All-Conference Third Team honors earlier this month. The shortstop/center fielder started 36 of 38 games this spring, batting .277 with 15 runs batted in, 14 runs scored, and eight stolen bases. She led the squad with eight sacrifice hits.
