COLCHESTER, Vt.- The Saint Michael's College softball team (7-8, 1-5 NE-10) bounced back from a 10-0 drubbing in game one by the River Hawks of the University of Massachusetts Lowell (10-10, 5-3 NE-10) to win game two by a score of 5-3. Junior pitcher Megan O'Connor (Georgetown, Mass./Georgetown) pitched a complete game in round two, allowing only three runs and striking out four.
O'Connor helped her own cause in game two with three hits and two runs batted in. Junior Ashley Harkins (Colchester, Vt./Colchester) and sophomore Heather French (Sheldon, Vt./BFA-St. Albans) each knocked in a pair of hits, while French tallied two RBIs.
The Purple Knights return to action on Thursday, April 10 at Southern Connecticut for a doubleheader at 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. in New Haven, Connecticut.
