Parziale chosen for second NE-10 Academic All-Conference nod of school year
COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College men's tennis rising senior Eric Parziale (Pinehurst, N.C./Pinecrest) was among 96 student-athletes across nine sports selected for a Northeast-10 Conference Academic All-Conference honor for the spring athletic season.
Parziale, also a men's soccer player who earned an NE-10 Academic All-Conference nod following the fall season, added to a list of academic laurels that includes three stints on the NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll. Parziale was one of six men's tennis players from around the league to be chosen for academic all-conference.
Parziale won seven matches during the school year, including four in singles and three more during doubles action. Two of his singles victories came in the second and third slots, respectively, while he went 2-0 at No. 3 doubles. During the spring portion of the season, he played No. 1 doubles.
The NE-10 Academic All-Conference teams are chosen by a vote of a committee of athletic administrators and Faculty Athletic Representatives (FAR). To be eligible for selection to the academic all-conference teams, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) participated in at least half of the team's competitions and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average; and 3) completed at least one academic year at their current institution.
