Men's Soccer Shuts Out Johnson In Season Opener, 4-0

(Sep 2, 2010) COLCHESTER, Vt. – The Saint Michael’s College men’s soccer team opened the season with a 4-0 win over Johnson State College at Duffy Field on Thursday. The Purple Knights (1-0) racked up 28 shots (13 on goal) and prevented Johnson (0-1) from taking a single shot in the shutout. Twenty-three players saw the field for Saint Michael’s in the non-conference contest, including senior Blake Schill (Essex Junction, Vt./Essex (Worcester Academy)), who netted the third goal of the game. Fall Season Opens Tomorrow with Men's Soccer

(Sep 1, 2010) COLCHESTER, Vt. - Four Saint Michael's College fall sports teams are slated to open the 2010-11 athletic year this weekend. Men's soccer will host Johnson on Thursday at 4 p.m., and women's soccer begins its season against Molloy at Dowling College on Friday at 7 p.m. Field hockey and volleyball hit the road on Saturday afternoon for 1:30 p.m. matches against Mansfield and Southern New Hampshire, respectively.
