Men's Soccer's Berry, Ward Named To NE-10 All-Academic Team
COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College senior Jared Berry (Barrington, R.I./Barrington) and junior Rondel Ward (Saint George, Barbados/Harrison College) were named to the 2009 Northeast-10 Conference Men's Soccer All-Academic Team, it was announced on Thursday.
The duo were two of 15 men's soccer players honored by the conference for academic excellence, and helped lead the Purple Knights to a 9-5-3 record in 2009.
Berry, a psychology major, scored a team-high six goals and 16 points for Saint Michael's this fall. The midfielder has a 3.71 Grade Point Average, and also earned NE-10 All-Academic recognition as a junior.
Ward, a computer science major with a 3.89 GPA, tied for second on the squad with four goals this past fall. The forward has been named to the Dean's List each of his first five semesters at Saint Michael's.
