Schill, Diana Earn NE-10 Men's Soccer All-Conference Honors
COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College men's soccer junior Blake Schill (Essex Junction, Vt./Worcester Academy) was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Soccer Second Team, it was announced on Friday, while freshman Jordan Diana (Scottsdale, Ariz./Horizon) earned All-Rookie Team honors.
Schill was one of the Purple Knights' top midfielders throughout the season, and also helped anchor a stout defense that surrendered just 16 goals in 17 games. He started all but one contest for Saint Michael's in 2009, and finished tied for third on the squad with eight points (three goals, two assists).
Diana also was an integral midfielder for the Purple Knights, making an immediate impact to the team. He netted a goal in 14 games played, including 12 starts, and played more than 1,000 minutes on the season.
The duo helped lead Saint Michael's to a 9-5-3 record in 2009, the program's first winning season since 2007.
