Frank Abruzzini enters his third season as an assistant coach with the Saint Michael's men's lacrosse program in 2009. After two successful seasons working as the team's defensive coordinator, Abruzzini will serve as the team's offensive coordinator in 2009.
Abruzzini has helped lead Saint Michael's to consecutive winning seasons in his first two years with the squad, and shaped the Purple Knights into one of the Northeast-10 Conference's best defensive squads.
As an undergraduate at Saint Joseph's University, Abruzzini played midfield, earning the honor of captain his senior year. He was a versatile player for the NCAA Division I Hawks, playing both offensive and defensive midfield, man-up, man-down, face-offs and wing-play. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in finance in 2006.
Abruzzini is currently enrolled in the Saint Michael's Graduate program, pursuing his Master's degree in Education. He currently resides in Burlington.
