Handful Of Sports To Head South This Weekend For "Spring Break"

(Mar 12, 2010) COLCHESTER, Vt. - A handful of Saint Michael's College spring sports teams are heading South this weekend to play non-conference contests during the College's week-long spring break. The Purple Knights' baseball, softball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, and women's tennis programs are scheduled to play a combined 28 games in the next eight days, with baseball and softball kicking off the 2010 season. Men's Lacrosse Falls Behind Plattsburgh State, 14-12, In Home Opener

(Mar 10, 2010) COLCHESTER, Vt. – The Saint Michael’s College men’s lacrosse team (0-1, 0-0 NE-10) opened their season with a 14-12 loss to Plattsburgh State University on Wednesday afternoon. For the Purple Knights, sophomore Andy Buccellato (Glen Rock, N.J./Don Bosco Prep) recorded four goals and an assist, while senior Charlie Niznansky (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield-Ludlowe) tallied a hat trick.
